Who is Lukee Forbes?
Hi, I am Lukee Forbes, a youth worker, coordinator, organizer, community developer, and storyteller. You might have seen me leading a protest, heard me give a speech, or maybe I’ve coordinated one of the programs your children attend. You may have participated in one of my business 101 classes or rented an apartment from me. I have also been known to pop up in a short film. If you check, you may see my name listed as a collaborator on a website or film production. Chances are you might have heard of me. If you haven’t, here’s a little bit of my story…

A world full of people
Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated with different cultures and people. My interest only grew during my prison stay, where people from different cultural backgrounds surrounded me. You would see me in the yard attempting to communicate with the prison’s non-English speaking population, using many pointing and weird gestures. I grew fixated with other cultures while trying to answer the number one question. “What is the meaning of life?” I studied subjects from history to quantum physics, looking for the answer.
My past is unknown as I dig deeper into the history of where we come from. I believe the past can help find clues to the purpose of “humankind.” My father, Luken Forbes, was a native of Panama before being murdered after being deported for being a non-registered alien. My mother, Tashanna Mcleod, was born to two Native American parents. Unfortunately, she passed from severe health issues. Due to my parents passing away during my prison stay, I have struggled to track down my family tree. Help support my journey to study cultures worldwide as I track down my bloodline.
